It’s a warm welcome back to the a day on the green stage for Australian music icon John Farnham AO who will headline the next series of concerts nationally.

Performing under the stars in beautiful winery and outdoor locations, John will kick off at Petersons Winery in Armidale NSW on Saturday November 21, followed by Sirromet Wines Mt Cotton QLD on Sunday November 22, All Saints Estate Rutherglen VIC on Saturday November 28, Josef Chromy Wines Launceston TAS on Saturday December 5 and finally Kings Park & Botanic Garden Perth WA on Saturday December 12.

In what promises to be a series of highly-memorable shows, John will be joined at all concerts by special guests Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks, with additional guests The Black Sorrows and Noiseworks at several events. Full line-ups are listed below.

Tickets are on sale 10.00am Monday July 27 from Ticketmaster.

John is currently back on top of the ARIA charts hitting the #1 position for the past two weeks with his latest  – and 26th album  – Two Strong Hearts Live, from his hugely successful national tour earlier this year with Oliva Newton-John.

For a man who has sold more tickets, more albums and notched up more achievements than any other Australian musician, performing live is still an absolute joy.  John performed some a day on the green concerts back in 2010 and is looking forward to appearing on the outside winery stages again.

“I’m really looking forward to working on the same bill with some of my personal favourite Australian musicians,” John said. “I’ll definitely be getting there early.  I don’t want to miss a thing!!”

Drawing on the phenomenal songbook from his stellar four decade-long career, 19-time ARIA Award winner and all-round top bloke John Farnham continues to be “The Voice” of Australian music, thrilling audiences with his onstage charisma and those unforgettable vocals.

Whether it’s the hits from his landmark 80s albums Whispering Jack and Age Of Reason like You’re The Voice, Two Strong Hearts, Pressure Down, A Touch Of Paradise, Chain Reaction, That’s Freedom or his earlier material Sadie The Cleaning Lady, One and Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, there are few Australian performers who are as beloved as ‘Farnsy’.

The concerts will once again feature Farnham’s long-time, celebrated band, featuring amongst others Chong Lim (musical director), Stuart Fraser and Brett Garsed (guitars) and backing vocalists extraordinaire Lindsay Field and Lisa Edwards.

The special guest support artists Daryl Braithwaite, Ross Wilson, The Black Sorrows and Noiseworks are all huge favourites with a day on the green audiences.

This summer season marks the 15th year of a day on the green, which started in January 2001.  After more than 360 shows and 2.75 million happy patrons, the a day on the green experience of good food, good wine and great music is firmly established as one of Australia’s most popular concert events.
